This has to be the most quintessentially spiritual experience of my life. Tom and I just returned from Sao Miguel on a tour with a small group from the US. We went to bed each night thinking the next day could never top the previous one. And each day, it did! Impossible. But absolutely true. Lots of juicy opportunities to paint from life and moments of deep remembrance.
Thank you to everyone who supported me by attending the artist reception on my behalf at Hamilton House. The exhibit continues for the full month of August. There is still an opportunity to see this historic house, learn about the extraordinary opportunities for lifelong learning that are offered there and see my paintings which are displayed throughout.
It's been a blast for me to see them as a "holistic unit" as an artist.
As a newer member of the Hamilton House lifelong learning community, I'm grateful for my first opportunity of this size to show my body of artwork for the months of July and August 2016. I have 46 pieces displayed throughout historic Hamilton House which are now on display. Many thanks to Anna and Jessica for making this happen for me - heavy lifting for a show this large.
Please come to the gallery show and opening on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 5:00pm. Light refreshments will be available together with a short "Conversation with the Artist" as part of the opening. Invite your friends, too.
Feel free to stop by during normal business hours and walk through this vibrant chateaux style destination. Check out the Hamilton House website and see what's happening. (Please see link on this website landing page). There are many RI artists that teach and continue to create inspirational works among many other creative offerings and classes.
There will be an open house at Evolve Apothecary on Wednesday evening, June 1st from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Evolve Apothecary is a woman-owned business on Hope Street in Providence, RI. It can be described as a new age contemporary enterprise focusing on health and wellness with products and services that support its mission statement, "Remedies for Body & Home".
Mary Lou Conca and I will be in attendance at the open house as we currently have art work on display on site.
Please join us. The products are sensory and luscious!
